Whether it’s a birthday party or a fun family day out, Planet Chill is the place for you. Unlike the rest of our on-site attractions, our real ice-skating rink isn’t just available for guests – it’s also open to the public, so you can share in the fun!

The perfect day out for families of all ages, Planet Chill is Surfers Paradise’s only ice-skating rink. It’s situated on the second floor, right above Penguins Restaurant, and is the ultimate all-weather attraction for guests and visitors alike to enjoy year-round fun.

Suitable for kids big and small, Planet Chill caters to ages three and up. For beginners, we offer adorable fibreglass penguins to help you along on your ‘icecapades’ and there are also ‘Learn to Skate’ classes available for your little ones.

During each session, we play a fun game like four corners or limbo – combined with the pulsing LED lights under the ice and fun pop music, it doesn’t take long for Planet Chill to turn into quite the party. There is even a disco ball!

Speaking of parties, Planet Chill is the coolest place to host your next one. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday or another special occasion, our skating party packages are the perfect way to bring your friends and family together. We even offer optional extras like popcorn and fairy floss machine hire, a personal party host, face painting, parent platters and more.

Planet Chill is open to in-house guests and the general public, which means no one has to miss out on the fun. We recommend pre-purchasing tickets for your Planet Chill session, as it is a popular attraction and numbers are limited. Don’t forget: entry to Planet Chill is free for spectators, so you only have to pay if you wish to skate.

Don’t forget your socks and closed-in shoes, and to wear long pants and a jumper – as its name suggests, Planet Chill gets very cold. Ice skates and helmets are provided for each guest, free of charge.
