We're continually investing in technology that reduces energy consumption without compromising the guest experience. Our initiatives include:

• A state-of-the-art refrigeration system inside our Ice-skating rink that has reduced greenhouse emissions by approximately 60% while using 65% less energy than traditional cooling systems.
• LED lighting installed throughout the majority of the resort, using around 75% less electricity and lasting up to 25 times longer than conventional lighting.
• Motion-sensor lighting throughout our car park.
• Resort lighting controlled by automated timers that adjust with seasonal sunrise and sunset times.
• Guest room air conditioning that automatically switches off when room keys are removed or balcony doors are left open, helping reduce unnecessary energy use.

Water is one of our most valuable resources and we encourage both our team and guests to help us conserve it. Our water-saving initiatives include:

• Optional Eco Clean servicing, allowing guests to reuse towels and linen.
• Bed linen changed every fourth day (or upon request) to reduce water and energy consumption.
• Landscaping featuring plants suited to the Gold Coast climate, reducing irrigation requirements.
• Our large waterpark is supported by an underground water storage and filtration system that continuously recycles water throughout the attraction. This efficient system helps conserve one of our most valuable natural resources while maintaining a safe and enjoyable experience for families.

Reducing waste is an important part of our daily operations. Across the resort we:

• Recycle cardboard, glass, paper and cooking oil.
• Offer yellow recycling bins throughout the resort grounds for easy guest access.
• Recycle eligible drink containers through Containers for Change, supporting local Scouts while reducing landfill.
• Encourage reuse of surplus materials by incorporating packaging and leftover supplies into Kids Club as well as our arts and crafts activities.

We've taken significant steps to reduce unnecessary plastic waste across the resort. These include:

• Eliminating single-use bathroom toiletries in favour of refillable dispensers throughout guest rooms and public amenities.
• Introducing reusable polycarbonate drinkware throughout our food and beverage outlets.
• Transitioning most takeaway packaging to biodegradable alternatives.

Technology plays an important role in helping us reduce our environmental footprint while creating a smoother experience for both guests and our team. By embracing digital solutions across the resort, we've significantly reduced paper consumption and streamlined many of our everyday operations. Our initiatives include:

• Paperless HR: Employee contracts, onboarding documents and internal correspondence are completed digitally, significantly reducing paper and printing.
• Cloud-Based Collaboration: Teams use shared digital platforms for documents, approvals and project management, minimising paper-based processes.
• Digital Guest Communications: Booking confirmations, pre-arrival information, activity vouchers, resort updates and guest messaging are delivered electronically via email and SMS, reducing printed collateral.
• Electronic Gift Vouchers: Guests can purchase and redeem digital gift vouchers online, eliminating the need for printed certificates and cards.
• Online Check-in & Guest Information: Guests can access important information before arrival, reducing the need for printed welcome packs and information sheets.
• Electronic Reporting: Business reporting, dashboards and performance tracking are managed digitally, reducing internal printing across departments.
• Digital Signage: Screens positioned throughout the resort allow us to update activity schedules, promotions and guest information and reduced the need for disposable printed posters.
