There’s nothing like a little healthy competition to create a great spectacle and the Gold Coast’s annual SeaFire event sees the world’s best pyrotechnic experts come together to compete for the top gong in fireworks.
The Surfers Paradise Beach skyline will light up from 6-9pm on Saturday, June 6, and this free sky show is one not to be missed. On the ground, there’s a great carnival atmosphere planned with loads of musicians and street performers – it’ll be a wonderful family event. And Paradise Resort is the perfect base, just a short tram ride from all the action at Surfers Paradise. Why not check in to our resort the night before and spend the day on Saturday getting ready with this handy itinerary that we’ve planned just for your family:
Step 1: Enjoy a big breakfast Fuel up for a big day ahead courtesy of our buffet continental breakfast at Penguins Restaurant. We offer a generous selection of delicious croissants and pastries, fresh seasonal fruit, cereals, yoghurts, toast and preserves. It’s all served with tea, coffee and fruit juice.
Step 2: Enjoy the great outdoors
You’re at the Gold Coast and it’s honestly one of the best places to be when winter arrives. With dry, sunny days, you can swim in one of our heated pools or lounge in the sun on our pool deck – you might even like to join in a quick game of trivia while you’re poolside? It’s so fun!
Step 3: Braid your hair
Book into our Pamper Parlour to have your hair braided so you look fabulous for SeaFire that night. We can braid your hair mermaid-style or even unicorn-style and add in your choice of fun, coloured extensions. Trust us - you’ll be a stand out on the beach that night!
Step 4: Grab lunch
There are also plenty of lunch options at Paradise Resort. Why not try a pizza from Deb’s Pizza Shack? Munch your pizza by the pool and see if there are any other organised activities you’d like to join in on before SeaFire. The waterpark is definitely the hub of our resort and there’s always something happening poolside, so keep an eye out for our activity facilitators.
Step 5: Get ready! And don’t forget to stock up on snacks
When it’s time to get ready for SeaFire, maybe consider grabbing some convenient drinks and snacks from the poolside bar to take with you?
Step 6: Catch the tram to the action
A tram station is located just 300m from Paradise Resort, so it’s the perfect way to get to Surfers Paradise Beach. Once you’re there, simply stake out a spot, sit back and enjoy a fantastic evening on the sand with your family as the sky lights up with an amazing display of fire. It’ll be a truly memorable night for all ages – and a Paradise Resort stay will be the icing on the cake.
