You’re already dressed in your winter clothes, so pop on some thick socks and some gloves and head into Planet Chill Ice Skating Ring. It’s super fun and a great way to get active. We’ve got helper penguins for kids when they’re first finding their feet. Top tip: Kids love it when mum and dad strap on a pair of skates too!
The lagoon and both waterparks are heated to a maximum of about 24C year round, so kids can still enjoy some water play. Or if that’s still too cold for you, our spa is always toasty and warm.
There are so many! The kids will have a list as long as their arms of all the things they want to do during your holiday at Paradise Resort. From baking biscuits and decorating cupcakes, to blending their own custom perfume or playing laser tag – there’s seriously so many great indoor activities. And if the cold (ahem, Queensland winter!) doesn’t bother you, all our outdoor activities will still be running as usual.
This is the Gold Coast after all and, at Surfers Paradise, we’re right in the heart of it. The Surfers Paradise night markets are a short stroll away and there’s often activities at nearby Broadwater parklands. From music festivals and live shows to sporting competitions and movies in the park, there’s often events on over the cooler months, bringing that special buzz to the Gold Coast.
While there’s still plenty to do, it is undeniably quieter. If you or your child are easily overwhelmed by large crowds, the cooler months may be the perfect time for you to experience a more relaxed Gold Coast. Soak up the sunshine and enjoy the sand between your toes as you stroll along the beach or take a walk in the park with a little more space around you. There’s likely to be shorter queues everywhere and less wait times too.
