Offering year-round fun for families, beginners and casual skaters alike, our 10m x 15m rink is around one-third the size of a standard ice rink, creating a comfortable and welcoming space that’s perfect for first-time skaters and kids. And its made from real ice!

Planet Chill is suitable for all kids, big and small (3+ years).

For beginners, we’ve got fiberglass penguins to help keep you steady and to add even more excitement, we’ve amped up the fun with music, a disco ball, and glowing under-ice lighting to brighten up your skating session.

Location
Planet Chill is located inside Paradise Resort Gold Coast on the 2nd floor above reception. Access is via the stairs opposite the Jungle Gym or by taking the lobby lift outside of Penguins to level 2.

Price
- Entry to Planet Chill for spectators is FREE. You only pay if you wish to skate.
- Tickets start from $10 for ages 3-5 years. $20 for ages 6 years + (including adults).
- All skaters require a paid ticket.
- Skate and helmet hire is included with all tickets.
Some accommodation packages may include a complimentary session so check your reservation details and claim your tickets before booking your session.

- Children 3-5 years must be accompanied on the ice by a skating adult
Rink Size

What To Wear
We provide ice skates (or beginner strap-on skates) and helmets for every guest. Helmets are supplied free of charge and must be worn by all skaters for safety.
- Our ice skates are available in sizes from Children’s 8 up to Adults’ 14. For children smaller than a Children’s 8, or beginners up to Children’s 13 who prefer strap-on skates, closed-toe shoes (like sneakers) are required.
- The ice rink can get chilly at times, so we recommend wearing long pants and a jumper to stay warm.
- Guests are welcome to bring their own wrist guards, knee pads or gloves. These items are optional but helpful for beginner skaters; please note that they are not provided.

Do I need to make a booking or can I just walk in?

What days are you open?
Our session times vary each day. Scroll down and choose your preferred ice-skating activity then click book now for the next available session dates and times.
Do you have onsite parking?
Parking is available for resort guests only. For visitors to the resort, the closest public car park is open-air and located 450 metres away on the corner of Cypress Avenue. Charges are available as hourly, daily or weekly and payment is via their app or onsite parking metres.
Where’s the nearest Light Rail System?
The Surfers Paradise North station is located 300 metres from Paradise Resort, the light rail starts from Helensvale to Southport to Surfers Paradise and down to Broadbeach. The light rail is a great mode of transport to help you see all the Gold Coast has to offer.
