Has COVID changed your travel plans over the past 18 months? For most people, the answer is probably a resounding ‘Yes!’.
As the world slowly begins to reopen, every stage of the travelling process has been changed to align with the advice of health experts. From mask policies to contact tracing and vaccines, experts know so much more about the spread and impacts of COVID than they did even twelve months ago.
But no matter what your vaccination status is or what case numbers are like in your area, it’s still incredibly important to take precautions when you travel – especially when travelling with children. There are a few things to consider if you’re thinking about planning a trip.
At Paradise Resort, we know the impact of the pandemic on the travel industry all too well. That’s why we have implemented a number of strategies to ensure we can provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and team. Here are three things to keep in mind when you plan your Paradise Resort holiday.
Book with confidence
Though many of us feel we are coming to the tail end of this pandemic, snap border closures can still threaten your holiday plans. Whether you live interstate or here in Queensland it is important to know that, if travel restrictions are enforced, we offer flexibility to change your holiday dates up until your arrival date. Come prepared
Hand sanitiser, masks and toilet paper – three items that have defined the last two years. While it goes without saying that we supply the latter, you will need to remember to pack the other two when you come to stay with us (though note that you can buy almost any essentials from Splashes, our on-site boutique and mini-mart). Be sure to pack spare masks in case any get wet or dirty, but know that we offer on-site, coin-operated laundry services 24/7 for guests if you need to wash them.
Understand COVID precautions
Our team does all it can to promote a safe environment for families, and many of the health precautions we take have been in place long before COVID. We are proud to have been able to continue serving our breakfast buffet throughout the pandemic with the implementation of sneeze guards and having the food served by our chefs. If you are spending time around others, try to do so outdoors – a number of our attractions, including our two Z4K water parks, lagoon pool, cabanas and playgrounds are all outdoors, and you can even enjoy a takeaway meal from Deb’s Pizza Shack poolside, too! Please be sure to stay up to date with our COVID safe plan before and during your stay.
