Attempt to conquer the infamous box jellyfish which has invaded and taken control of Underwater World – there may be plenty of places to hide, but keep an eye out for your opposition. No one is safe in this friendly game of modern warfare!
Planet Chill is our all-weather attraction, ideal for family fun. Available to in-house guests and the public, it’s open year round and is made with real ice. We have fibreglass penguins to help make your ‘icecapades’ more bump-free, and we’ve even added to the fun of ice skating with popular music, a disco ball and under-ice lighting to light up your session.
Challenge yourself on our nine-metre outdoor climbing wall! Our Captain's Crew members are professionally trained in all aspects of safety and tuition and can help anyone aged seven to 100 scale the heights of Dusty's Rock Climbing. There are two degrees of difficulty to suit novices through to experienced climbers.
Keep the kids busy with one of our many workshops! There really is something for everyone, including: teddy bear making; slime making; penguin snow globe crafting; sand art and sand candle making; pancake, muffin and meringue decorating; bath bomb making; and a workshop where they can make their own pizza or cookies.
The Gold Coast is undoubtedly Australia’s theme park capital. From Dreamworld to Sea World, we’ve got it all right here on our doorstep. Invest in a three-day pass to Dreamworld and White Water World (bonus: the pass includes SkyPoint, too!) or Movie World, Wet’n’Wild and Sea World and have fun park-hopping from place to place. Paradise Resort is conveniently located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, so we’re a 10-minute drive from Sea World and a 25 to 30-minute drive to Dreamworld and Movie World.
Natural beauty abounds here on the Gold Coast – not just along the coastline, but in the beautiful hinterland as well! Take your pick between Mount Tamborine and Springbrook National Park and enjoy one of the many family-friendly hikes on offer. There are also tasty treats to enjoy (fudge, anyone?!), great cafes to find and adventure activities like high ropes and mountain biking to try your hand at.
We have no shortage of markets here on the Gold Coast, with one of the best – the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets – just a short walk from Paradise Resort! Open from 4pm to 9pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, it’s here that you’ll find handmade wares, delicious food and fun souvenirs. Also worth checking out: the huge Carrara Markets (open Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 3pm) and The Village Markets at Burleigh (first and third Sundays of the month from 8.30am to 1pm).
You don’t need to be a golf pro to enjoy a game of putt putt, and we’ve got two different courses to choose from near Paradise Resort! Surfers Paradise Mini Golf is your classic putt putt experience – it’s outdoors, with fun holes to navigate and a kids’ play zone on-site, too. For a different take on mini golf, check out Holey Moley on Cavill Avenue! With a bar, crazy holes (many based on pop culture icons) and a fun-loving team, it’s a must-visit.
Ripley’s Surfers Paradise is your one-stop destination for family fun. A true ‘odditorium,’ marvel your way through 12 galleries, more than 300 unbelievable exhibits, and two floors of fun. With artifacts and interactives sure to amaze and delight, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Hang on tight in their Moving Theatre, where you move along with every twist and turn in a wild simulator. It’s an unbelievable experience.
